    1. This Popeye’s location is a sad letdown from other previously visited location. Don’t know if it’s the chain in general or location.
Visited 3/23/19, location 11895, spicy ckn was dry and bisquits either over cooked or left over from previous day. Normal condiments no where in sight. Asked for lemon or juice packet, pepper, salt, and non sugar sweetener. Employee stated that had neither SALT or non sugar sweetener for iced tea. Perhaps you could provide normal condiments if you did not keep restaurant at near meat locker temperature. Counter employee was very indifferent to customers. Not likely to return to this location….
will drive to Sarasota for my chicken fix!!

  2. Thursday August 2nd 2018. Waited 1 hour for fried chicken, order was wrong when we got home. Wasted my time and $25. Posted on company website and no one even followed up.

  3. Went to Popeye’s on 7-30- 18, pouring rain and very crowded. Went in side to order because the line to the drive up was sooo long . the line in side was long too, I got in line, gave my order, waited, received my order. I asked for help to my car, no problem a lady, a manager I think was sooo very nice, in all the carious she stopped and help me to my car !! IN the pouring rain ! The staff was VERY HELPFUL, Polite and Friendly!! I was very impressed ! The chicken was EXCELLENT !! PLEASE DON’T LOOSE YOUR ENTHUSIASM, KEEP THE EVERY THING THE SAME !! SO far ahead of KFC, KFC, close your doors, there’s a new chicken is in town !!! POPEYE’S is my go to for chicken…..

  4. When is Popeyes going to freaking open? It’s been almost a year. The sign is up, it’s not open! Like, damn. This

    1. Well.. At least the sign is finally up
Embarrassing that it took this long
It’s on the old Valvoline footprint
Hope they took care of that issue.. as well as the new construction according to standards.

  5. Is Popeye’s ever going to open in North Port, Fl.? I have never seen anything so slow. Is this building going to be safe with structural problems. Scarey…….
When, where & how are cooks training? We want our first experience to be great. Been waiting a long time for Popeye’s.

  6. Looks like Popeye’s should be open soon. A wonderful thing for North Port. Now if we could get a DQ, a Chuckie Cheese Pizza and a bowling alley in North Port. We need some places for young families to go to here locally. There isn’t any entertainment here in North Port.

    1. I am thankful for a Popeyes to move close to where we live. It is only a short distance from Port Charlotte. We can go regularly, don’t have to wait for vacation time once a year in Orlando.

    1. Good question I think it’s because we’re not Sarasota proper. Things take really long enough for it come on Popeyes Get the Led Out!

    1. Went by today. 11/29/2017. Nothing has changed for awhile or at least looks that way. They should have been open by now. The large building at 41 and Salford started way after Popeye’s did and they are really moving along. Come on Popeye’s let’s show some action….PLEASE!!

    1. I am with you. Really slow to open and you still cannot get a date for opening. I am very tired of driving to Sarasota for Popeyes.

  7. How much longer before we can sink our teeth into that delicious Popeye’s Louisiana Fried Chicken? We aren’t getting any fried chicken until they open. Do they have a planned opening date scheduled yet?

  8. It would be nice if we would get a few more restaurants like a Golden Corral and a Long John Silver’s I know lots of folks have to go a long ways to go have these restaurants I think North Port would benefit please think it over we welcome you

  9. We are so glad to see Popeye’s in North Port. The Spicy Chicken is really delicious. Their fish is also good. Thanks for choosing our town to come too.

  10. A wonderful sight. We’ve been away and it was great to see the progress on Pepeye’s!!! So exciting. Love their sweet tea and chicken and fish.

  11. All right, all right, all right. The walls are going up!! Soon we can get that spicy Louisiana fried chicken in NORTH PORT. ??

  12. What is the holdup with Popeye’s? They got started and now nothing. Doesn’t look very good for them. Do they have any type of target opening date? Wonder if it will be in 2017??

    1. A new permit with the City of Corth Port was issued 6/13/2017 for their dumpster enclosure. This means they are progressing . The permits for the main restaurant have been issued for over 12 months.

The actual site address is 14920 S. Tamiami Trail. Property owner is listed as: Pop Florida Properties, LLC.

    1. Double Yea! Been asked at least 20 times by Port Charlotte residents IF and WHEN Popeyes was coming to North Port.
It’s been way to long since they started the process.

  13. May want to check your sources on Popeyes canceling construction as they are beginning to build it at the old lube shop in 41.

  14. Well, can North Port, Florida get a Long John Silver’s? Can’t seem to get Popeye’s. There are enough burger joints and pizza. Long John Silver would be great. Think About it North Port, Florida

  15. North Port, Florida needs…..A movie theatre, a bowling alley, Chuck E. Cheese. We need some entertainment. The only thing to do is shop in North Port. Other than a few eating establishments and bars. It certainly isn’t a FUN place for young people or families.

  16. Too bad for North Port. Not getting a Popeye’s restaurant is a shame. Alot of people were looking forward to the Louisiana style of spicy fried chicken. Hate the long drive up to Sarasota. Oh well…just another disappointment for North Port, Florida. Also there is nothing to do in this boring place for entertainment. Sad, sad, sad.
